While COVID-19 has been really rough on me mentally, this last week has really knocked me down.
It does not surprise me at all that people are racist. It does not surprise me at all that the police are killing black people. It doesn't surprise me at all that white people are focusing on looting instead of peaceful protests and the blatant disregard of the lives of people of color.
This week I posted the following comment on Facebook.
"No Republican can ever again claim to be pro-life...bastards!"
"What has happened to our country?"
I have heard this question posed more times than I can count over the last few months.
I have some ideas...
I was in Central Market this week. I watched a woman completely harass a store employee over pears.
I wasn't really paying attention until I heard a woman's voice say loudly, "I can't believe it. These pears have been mislabeled for weeks. This is ridiculous!" It got my attention because this woman was pissed. I turned and saw a woman pointing at pears and standing very close to a store employee...up in his face.
He said quietly, "I am sorry."
Are you watching Grace and Frankie...on Netflix?
I love this show...I am watching the final season. Laughing and crying...and dreading the last episode because I know it is over.
This season there is a running gag of Grace not being able to get off the toilet or the sofa.
Let me tell you a story.
People often comment that I am quick wit. And, I suppose I am...born out of necessity and the need to protect myself.
I was bullied from the start.
People say the most stupid shit! Especially when they are talking to someone who is experiencing grief.

Listening to some music this morning and "The Reflex" by Duran Duran came on. I immediately busted into a big smile.
So I recently had a purchase that I had to return and re-order a different product. Seems like this should be no big deal in the current high-tech world. The vendor knew that there was a probability that the original product would not work, so they said “No big deal...bring it back, we will refund you and then you can get the other product.”
